Reviving the Golden Age of FETs

Inspired by the golden age of FET mics, the 1973 features a version of the now legendary Bomblet capsule, who’s lineage began in the AKG factory in 1953, was refined by LOMO in the early 1970s and was then further redesigned by Soyuz’ own white-coated engineers.

The 1973 is a high-quality LDC microphone with a hand-crafted capsule and superior build quality. It features a custom-designed resonator that reduces unwanted resonances and acts as a pop filter, making it ideal for recording vocals, voiceovers, and podcasts. The 1973 boasts a streamlined housing and incorporates the same S23 capsule as the 023 Bomblet. This compact design allows for microphone placement in hard-to-reach locations. The transformerless 1973 exhibits extremely low self-noise without compromising its sonic character. It features both -10 dB and -20 dB pads, making it well-suited for high-volume sources such as kick drums and amplifiers.
